Good news. It was reported by Variety News that there will be a sequel to the 1982 fantasy film whom we loved: The Dark Crystal. It will be titled as The Power of the Dark Crystal -- instead of using the muppets, it will use live-action animatronic characters with computer-generator animation.
The film will open in 2007 in time for its 25th Anniversary of the first film, The Dark Crystal. The best part is that the writer of The Dark Crystal is penning for the sequel. At least, it probably will be as good. Here is the tidbit that could make this very good -- remember the original heroes, Jen and Kira -- they are King and Queen and will fight to save their kingdom when the crystal is once again split.
Sounds intriguing? You bet.
