Why Treat Student-Athletes As Essential Workers?

 It is obvious that COVID19 is making an impact on schools across the country and in the process, impacted the student-athletes on many programs enough to put the programs on pause for the time being.  So many games have been cancelled or postponed. But these schools insist on playing the games not because the student-athletes wanted it, they did do it to appease the alumni and supporters who demanded to see them play once again. It is all about money.

You gotta play or I'm not going to donate or support your program.  The schools quivered each time the supporter say that to their faces.  That's why they forced the student-athletes to play.  They, for the lack of better word, essentially became the essential workers to meet the demands of the others.

I find it very disturbing, to say the least.

I'm a huge fan of Virginia Cavaliers who is currently No. 16 in the country with 3-1 record. Since November 25, Virginia has underwent the cancellations, postponements and replacements of various teams in St. Peters, Maine, Florida, Michigan State, Wake Forest, Villanova and William & Mary.

That is 7 teams against Virginia's current record at 3-1.  

So what is the point?  For the safety and health of its players, I think the whole season should be cancelled and the student-athletes be allowed to play another year.  At this point, it is not fair to the student-athletes to fulfill their efforts to appease the fans rather than to ensure that they receive education in safe and healthy route.  

I predict that many teams will experience frequent cancellations and postponements in January and February and yes, the March Madness produces money but at this point, at what expense should it be?  The lives of student-athletes?

This dude, CT Karnowski of Minnesota, is closeted like many others.  I have plenty of witnesses ... including myself. Yes, I consider him as one of these Rohmsexuals.

And he was a member of Kappa Gamma Fraternity.  What did you expect from this fraternity - the same one that used to encourage gay men to stay in the closet in order to advance their personal careers ...

And this link is fun to read.  If you review many Rohmsexuals, there is one ingredient that is very common with them, deaf or hearing alike - they tend to be Alcoholic. Just ask Jeff Dahmer ... oops, he's dead.  Sorry about that.

Kick Them Out Of The Closet!

DCARA, NIK FORD, KAYLA STUBBS, NIKKI HORRELL SCHMITZ and BARRY SEWELL

 DCARA LAWSUIT: Still drama as usual in Bay Area.  There is no concrete information that I should mention.  The power struggle between two groups in Bay Area is getting very old.  

NIK FORD DIES:  A former ASL interpreter-turned-to-hairdresser, Nik Ford has died of drug overdose in Salt Lake City, Utah several days ago. Originally from Utah, he was prolific ASL interpreter and moved to Washington, DC - somehow, the sources said that he was drunk or high with his boyfriend and played in the snowstorm for a long period of time and by morning, his fingers were amputated because it was badly infected with frostbite. Out of job as interpreter, he returned to Salt Lake City and proceed to work as a hairdresser. One of his close friends was the late Kayla Stubbs who committed suicide last January and apparently someone said that Nik's aunt has also passed away - that led him to meddle with drugs that resulted in his death.  

ABOUT KAYLA STUBBS: My sources said that in Utah, Kayla was well known for being bisexual but what drove her to commit suicide last January was because of Cobi Sewell, Barry Sewell's son. The sources said that Cobi was trying to get Kayla for himself. Kayla's family was struggling with their daughter being bisexual and was apparently thrilled that a man like Cobi is trying to court their daughter and has left heavy pressures on Kayla that led her to commit suicide. Because of that, people in Utah has turned against Cobi and apparently he was drove out of Utah where he is now living in Arizona. 

NICHOLA HORRELL SCHMITZ & BARRY SEWELL:  I had a good laugh when someone took a screenshot of Barry's post announcing his love for his so-called girlfriend named Elke. He proceeded to call her his "fire horse". I should mention that the adultery between Schmitz and Sewell was an open secret among Deaf Community in several states for several years. And interestingly, Schmitz was in Arizona recently visiting her "uncle" while everyone knew she was getting banged by Barry in Arizona. And now his profession to love Elke?  Folks, this is hilarious. Barry, if you do love Elke, don't bang others behind her back.

No Drama at Mill Neck Family of Organizations

 Wow. 

Mill Neck Family of Organizations is a group that operated the Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf in Mill Neck, New York - it is located in Long Island about 35 miles east of New York City.  Mill Neck Family of Organizations also operates different groups other than just a deaf school.

Mill Neck was advertising 4 different job positions.  On its description of job positions outlining the requirements.  Each position requires "no drama" on it.  

This is unprofessional thing to do and unnecessary, to say the least.  

Double jeers down to Mill Neck Family of Organizations for doing that.

Swap The Fucking Fly!

 I had been watching Netflix's "Don't Listen", a thriller/horror film focusing on the paranormal phenomena at a certain house in Spain.  I noticed the first few patterns about a certain activity, it appears that whenever a certain kind of fly landed on a solid matter (let it be table, dresser, car or even on your ear), it means the ghost is either onto you in order to fuck you up.  

Okay, when I saw its pattern, it is obvious that the flies are connected to the paranormal activity - so let's just swap the fly. Nobody did bother to swap the flies in order to sever the connection of ghosts. What a waste. But the film was entertaining to no end.

Howie Corwin-Kent wins $166.50!

 Howie Corwin-Kent was winning BIG in Thyst Bar's Drag Trivia and thanks to few others who wanted to donate to make Howie's "pot" bigger than normal - and the result is:  He won $166.50 and he was paid with it. 

Perhaps the most exciting thing is that the "pot" has also grow so fast - we have $318.50 in time for December 2's SciFi Trivia run by Sandy Baldwin.

But on November 26 from noon to ... ?  It is open to all.  Thyst Bar is open to everyone else so that they can chat with whoever they wanted.  No pressures.

About PSAD President Gerard Penna

The President of Pennsylvania Society for the Advancement of the Deaf (PSAD) has made a vlog as of today to talk about the PSAD supporting the "real BLM", not "BLM that did do the looting and riotings and violence".  

See this link for yourself.

It smacks of condescension, arrogance, ignorance and racism.  Gerald Penna is from Erie, Pennsylvania where less than 20% of its demographics are African Americans.  That vlog is not appropriate nor acceptable.  There is no way for him to distinguish and categorize the BLM for all of us.  

Gerald Penna probably refused to acknowledge that 95% of BLM protests are peaceful, it is 5% whom was instigated by Proud Boys and white supremacists trying to make BLM/ANTIFA look bad by creating the violence and destruction so that they can make BLM and ANTIFA look bad.

Shame on you, Gerald Penna.

Told You So!

Told You So.

If you watched my recent vlog on November 18, 2020 Tidbits, you would realize that I totally called on the results of Mavrick Fisher.  

Today, it was reported that Mavrick was found not guilty of first degree murder, he was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and the other two charges were deadlocked hence resulted in mistrial.  

Told you so!

Jury's duty is to convict an accused individual beyond reasonable doubt.  The keyword is beyond reasonable doubt - because the law enforcement agencies and the district attorney did not do a good job of investigation and all that, the jury is unable to convict Mavrick beyond reasonable doubt as I predicted.

Because he was only found guilty of involuntary manslaughter - his sentence is on December 21.  He will serve any time between 1 to 4 years in county jail or state prison. Prosecutor has not decided whether if they will mount another retrial on Assault with Deadly Weapon and Grand Theft Auto. If the prosecutor decline to prosecute these two charges on Mavrick, it is likely that Mavrick may walk out of the jail with time served.
